Ingredients

Scale

1 cup all-purpose flour
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 large egg
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup dark cocoa powder
2 tablespoons milk powder
1/2 cup dark chocolate chunks

Instructions

Preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a bowl, cream together the softened unsalted butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy.
Beat in the egg and vanilla extract until fully combined.
In a separate bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, salt, dark cocoa powder, and milk powder.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, mixing until just combined.
Fold in the dark chocolate chunks evenly.
Drop spoonfuls of dough onto a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, spacing them evenly.
Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the edges are slightly crisp but the center remains soft.
Allow cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
Serve stacked neatly on a matte black ceramic plate to emphasize the moody and minimalistic aesthetic.
