Ingredients

Scale

4 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
1/4 cup fresh lemon juice
2 tablespoons olive oil
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon fresh rosemary, finely chopped
1 tablespoon fresh thyme, finely chopped
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1 teaspoon lemon zest

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
In a medium bowl, whisk together the lemon juice, olive oil, minced garlic, rosemary, thyme, salt, black pepper, and lemon zest to create the marinade.
Place the chicken breasts in a large resealable plastic bag or shallow dish.
Pour the marinade over the chicken, ensuring all pieces are well coated.
Seal the bag or cover the dish and refrigerate for at least 15 minutes, up to 2 hours for more flavor.
Remove the chicken from the marinade and place it in a baking dish.
Bake in the preheated oven for 25-30 minutes or until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C) and the chicken is cooked through.
Remove from the oven and let the chicken rest for 5 minutes before serving.
