A crispy, melty grilled cheese sandwich featuring tender sliced turkey breast and fresh guacamole on buttery sourdough bread.
2 slices sourdough bread
2 tablespoons butter
2 slices sliced turkey breast
1/4 cup guacamole (made with avocado, lime juice, salt, diced tomato, cilantro)
2 slices sliced cheddar cheese
Butter one side of each slice of sourdough bread.
Spread guacamole evenly on the unbuttered side of one slice.
Layer sliced turkey breast over the guacamole.
Place cheddar cheese slices on top of the turkey.
Close the sandwich with the other slice of bread, buttered side out.
Heat a skillet over medium heat.
Place the sandwich on the skillet and grill until the bread is golden brown and crispy, about 4-5 minutes.
Carefully flip the sandwich and grill the other side until golden brown and the cheese is melted, about 4-5 minutes more.
Remove from skillet and let rest for a minute.
Cut the sandwich diagonally into two halves and stack slightly offset on a white rectangular plate.
