Slow Cooker Ground Beef

A simple and flavorful slow cooker ground beef recipe perfect for meal prep or easy dinners. This versatile dish can be used in tacos, pasta, or served over rice.

2 pounds ground beef
1 medium yellow onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
1 (14.5 ounce) can diced tomatoes, undrained
1 (8 ounce) can tomato sauce
1 teaspoon chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/4 cup beef broth

Instructions

In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned, breaking it up with a spoon as it cooks, about 5-7 minutes.
Drain excess fat from the cooked beef and transfer the beef to the slow cooker.
Add the chopped onion, minced garlic, diced tomatoes with their juice, tomato sauce, chili powder, ground cumin, smoked paprika, salt, black pepper, and beef broth to the slow cooker.
Stir all ingredients together until well combined.
Cover and cook on low for 6 hours, stirring halfway through cooking.
After cooking, taste and adjust seasoning if necessary before serving.
