Deliciously moist and fudgy banana cake brownies that combine the best of both worlds — the rich texture of brownies with the sweet, fruity flavor of ripe bananas. Perfect for a snack or dessert!
1 cup mashed ripe bananas (about 2-3 medium bananas)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 cup granulated sugar
2 large eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
1/4 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 teaspoon baking powder
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9×9-inch square baking pan or line it with parchment paper.
In a large mixing bowl, combine the mashed bananas, melted butter, and granulated sugar. Stir until smooth and well combined.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in the vanilla extract.
In a separate bowl, whisk together the all-purpose flour, cocoa powder, baking powder, and salt.
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Do not overmix.
Fold in the semi-sweet chocolate chips evenly throughout the batter.
Pour the batter into the prepared baking pan and spread it out evenly.
Bake in the preheated oven for 28-30 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out with a few moist crumbs.
Remove from the oven and allow the banana cake brownies to cool completely in the pan on a wire rack before cutting into 12 squares.
