Ingredients

Scale

1/2 cup whole milk
1/2 cup brewed espresso or strong coffee
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon maple syrup
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon
1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/8 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
1/2 teaspoon rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon granulated sugar (for topping)
1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon (for topping)

Instructions

In a small saucepan, combine the whole milk, brown sugar, maple syrup, ground cinnamon, ground nutmeg, ground ginger, salt, and rolled oats.
Heat the mixture over medium heat, stirring frequently, until it is hot but not boiling, about 4 minutes.
Remove the saucepan from heat and strain the milk mixture through a fine mesh sieve to remove the oats and any spice residue.
Brew 1/2 cup of espresso or strong coffee and pour it into a large mug.
Add the strained milk mixture to the espresso and stir gently to combine.
Add the vanilla extract and stir again.
Froth the latte mixture using a milk frother or whisk vigorously until foamy.
Pour the latte into a serving cup, spooning foam on top.
Mix the granulated sugar and 1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon together and sprinkle evenly over the foam.
Serve immediately and enjoy your homemade Oatmeal Cookie Latte.
