A simple and delicious recipe for crispy tofu made in the air fryer. Perfectly golden and crunchy on the outside, tender on the inside, this tofu is a great protein-packed addition to any meal.
14 ounces extra-firm tofu, pressed and cut into 1-inch cubes
2 tablespoons soy sauce
1 tablespoon cornstarch
1 tablespoon olive oil
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/4 teaspoon salt
Press the tofu to remove excess moisture by wrapping it in a clean kitchen towel and placing a heavy object on top for 10 minutes.
Cut the pressed tofu into 1-inch cubes and place them in a medium bowl.
Add soy sauce, olive oil, garlic powder, smoked paprika, and salt to the tofu cubes. Gently toss to coat evenly.
Sprinkle the cornstarch over the tofu and toss again until all cubes are evenly coated.
Preheat the air fryer to 375°F (190°C) for 3 minutes.
Arrange the tofu cubes in a single layer in the air fryer basket, making sure they are not touching.
Cook the tofu for 15 minutes, shaking the basket halfway through to ensure even crisping.
Once golden and crispy, remove the tofu from the air fryer and serve immediately.
