A savory and moist meatloaf infused with garlic and Parmesan cheese, perfect for a comforting family dinner.
1 1/2 pounds ground beef
1 cup fresh breadcrumbs
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cloves garlic, minced
1/2 cup whole milk
1 large egg
1/4 cup finely chopped onion
1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
1/2 teaspoon dried basil
1/2 cup ketchup
Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C).
In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, fresh breadcrumbs, grated Parmesan cheese, minced garlic, whole milk, egg, chopped onion, chopped fresh parsley, salt, black pepper, dried oregano, and dried basil.
Mix all the ingredients together gently with your hands or a spoon until just combined; do not overmix to keep the meatloaf tender.
Transfer the meat mixture to a loaf pan or shape it into a loaf on a rimmed baking sheet.
Spread the ketchup evenly over the top of the meatloaf.
Bake in the preheated oven for 60 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 160°F (71°C) and the meatloaf is cooked through.
Remove the meatloaf from the oven and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing and serving.
