A deliciously crispy and buttery garlic bread topped with melted mozzarella cheese, perfect as a side or snack.

Ingredients

Scale

1 loaf French bread (about 12 inches)
1/2 cup unsalted butter, softened
4 cloves garlic, minced
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 tablespoons fresh parsley, finely chopped
1/4 teaspoon salt

Instructions

Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C).
Cut the French bread loaf in half lengthwise to create two long halves.
In a small bowl, combine the softened butter, minced garlic, chopped parsley, and salt. Mix well until evenly combined.
Spread the garlic butter mixture evenly over the cut sides of both bread halves.
Sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese evenly over the buttered bread halves.
Sprinkle the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the mozzarella layer.
Place the bread halves on a baking sheet, cut side up.
Bake in the preheated oven for 12 to 15 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly and the edges of the bread are golden brown.
Remove from the oven and let cool for 2 minutes before slicing into pieces.
Serve warm.
